Dualtron Ltd, founded in 1991, is an Irish company specialising in cash processing and payment solutions for Banking, Retail and Hospitality sectors.
We have also developed bespoke software solutions for the Healthcare and Food Service industries. Since day one our customer-focused team have developed solutions and processes which help our customers to run their businesses better.
Dualtron is a service driven company who leverage training, quality systems and the latest technology to deliver class-leading products and services.
We are the number one supplier of banknote sorting equipment for bank branch and retail ATM sites. We support more than 3,000 cash handling devices in every town and village in Ireland with our 11 experienced engineers, through on-site and remote support.
Our EPOS and cashless payment systems are used by more than 100,000 users every day many of whom are household names and include I.T., Retail, Banking, Telecoms, Utilities, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing companies, as well as Universities, Hospitals and Schools.
Our motto is ‘You can count on Dualtron’. We pride ourselves on our reputation for rapidly resolving customer issues. This helped us to win the Services category at the SFA National Small Business Awards 2017, having been finalists before in 2012 and 2015. Our people are our greatest asset and customers who work with us tend to stay.

Dave Byrne MBA
Dave is a founder director of Dualtron and was Joint Managing Director until 2011. Since 1991 he has been directly involved with the development and expansion of the company’s capabilities in both the cash handling and EPOS solutions industries. After working in IT and Procurement for Aer Lingus Dave then pursued a career in sales where he worked as a Sales Manager for Pitney Bowes and the Cable and Wireless Group. In January 2017, Dave was elected to the Council of the Small Firms Association National Council. He holds a Master of Business Administration Degree and a Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Leicester.
Ronan Byrne BSC
Prior to joining Dualtron in 2011, Ronan worked as an IT and Project Management Consultant in Accenture. While at Accenture Ronan worked with AIB, Santander UK, Revenue and An Garda Síochána. He manages Dualtron’s sales, finance and admin team, and is responsible for key account management. Ronan holds a BSc Honours Degree from Dublin City University in Computer Applications (Information Systems) and Postgrad Certificate in Leadership from UCC.
Gary Brophy BSC
Joining Dualtron in 2016, Gary came from Version One Software where he was a Service Desk Manager and Chair of the Change Approval Board having previously worked as a Service Manager at IBM. Gary manages Dualtron’s Operations Department where his team are responsible for delivery, mobilisation, ongoing customer support and ensuring that industry best practices are implemented within Dualtron. He holds a BSc in Software Engineering from Institute of Technology Tallaght and has completed certs in ITIL Certified v3 – Foundation and ITIL Service Operational and Service Transition – Intermediate.
